STANDARD FORD BRAKES
Do not stand up well to frequent aggressive braking
Regular brake maintenance will sustain the best possible performance. Air in the system will reduce braking ability if not dealt with correctly- bleeding the brakes, uprating suspension components & fitting lower profile tyres, reduces the 'lunge' when braking, making the overall braking procedure safer.
FORD ABS BRAKES
These systems perform considerably better when compared to standard brakes. Nobody is quite sure what makes the difference under normal driving conditions, but it is noticeable. The 'anti lock' feature is an added bonus, even though the KA sounds like it may fall apart when it bursts into action! (This is completely normal) |
